In order to join, there is an annual subscription fee of 30€.

In order to be a member, you have to pay the annual subscription fee (30€) and fill the registration form sent to you thereafter.

• Anyone interested in starting a research project and learning how to conduct research.
• Any young physician who wants to be educated on receiving individual advice on their professional career.
• Anyone interested in participating in humanitarian and charitable activities.
• Any passionate individual with new ideas and innovative way of thinking.
• Any member of the public that wishes to support SJD’s activities.

No. The SJD is an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization.

No. Anyone can join the SJD. The Society of Junior Doctors is an inclusive NGO for people who envision the path to knowledge via the ancient saying “In unity we stand strong”…

In the SJD, one may participate in research projects of their interest. They can also be a member of our Journal Club. Moreover, they can participate in organizational activities, which broadly include involvement in operations and business development. In addition, all our members have the opportunity to get involved in charity work. We encourage our members to suggest new activities and projects and our activities are fueled by our member’s passion and new ideas.

Whereas a lot of SJD’s activities are open to the wider public, participation in research, one-to-one mentorship and career advice from more senior medical professionals, and involvement in organizational activities are restricted to our members.

Not at all. Interest and a dedication to knowledge increase and sharing are the only prerequisites.

We do our best to meet the needs of all of our members. Researchers within the Society are working voluntarily and it may take a while until a new project or research position becomes available. Overall, the feedback we get from active members is excellent. All our members are highly committed and motivated and their scientific work leads to publications. In addition, friendships and scientific collaborations are born out of working in a research project.

Our members’ contact information are only shared internally so that they can be contacted to participate in research projects, be brought in touch for mentoring opportunities and be notified of other activities.

All SJD members are informed when their membership time has expired and are asked about renewal via the internal subscription methods.
