- ResumeAphrodite G. Fotiadou graduated from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina in July 2022 and continued her Master’s Studies in "Surgical Oncology of the Digestive System" of the Medical Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she graduated in 2025. After completing her undergraduate studies, she conducted her compulsory service as a Rural Doctor at the Surgical Clinic of the General Hospital of Kefallinia "Agios Gerasimos". After receiving her Medical Approbation in Germany, she started her surgical residency in General Surgery in 07/2024 at the General, Visceral, and Transplantation Surgery Clinic of Heidelberg University Hospital, while also participating in the working groups of the EU-funded projects CARING NATURE and INTERACT-EUROPE 100 of the European Cancer Organization. Her main research interests are surgical oncology, particularly pancreatic cancer and peritoneal carcinomatosis, as well as intradisciplinary cancer care. She has contributed to research projects which led to presentations of scientific conferences and publications in international and national peer-reviewed academic journals, having received 2 awards. She has been an active member of the Society of Junior Doctors since 2023, served as Deputy Secretary of the Education Organizing Committee in 2024, and was recently elected as Deputy General Secretary of the Directors Board.
